Who We Are

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the things you did do.  So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade wind in your sails.  EXPLORE, DREAM, DISCOVER.  Mark Twain”

Years ago, I fell in love with the sea. I could literally spend my life on the sea, but I have a family, responsibilities…a life on land. I spent a long time thinking about how I could have the best of what I longed for without giving up any of the stability of what I have built for my family.

What if we had a ship seaworthy and capable of carrying us off to different parts of the globe in comfort and safety?  We could share this Yacht with like minded individuals who seek an escape from the everyday to a world of freedom and adventure.  That would make it affordable for everyone.  Even more fun would be a group of catamarans cruising together.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the things you did do.  So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade wind in your sails.  EXPLORE, DREAM, DISCOVER.

Mark Twain

Then we could afford to have on board a veteran of the sea, who loves to cruise as much as we do, keen to share his knowledge, and help maintain the fleet so they are always ready to voyage to the next destination.

SEABBATICAL Modern Ocean Voyaging

For some the idea of a flotilla seems a little quaint, but we are redefining the concept of flotilla.

When you take part in a Seabbatical flotilla you are not playing follow the leader. Its a fun friendly way to enjoy everything bareboat has to offer with the added benefit of experienced crew nearby should you ever need their assistance.

Those with limited experience can go on the lead boat with the captain where they can learn the most or just enjoy a worry free time. Those with more experience will want to stay near the lead boat, and those with lots of sea miles may want to set off on their own, and do as much, or as little with the flotilla as you want, you decide.

There are plenty of opportunities to explore areas alone if you want. At night you can join the social activities, or not. Enjoy the camraderie, develop life long friendships with people from all over the world, informal regattas, beach socials, on shore excursions, more fun than cruising alone yet very flexible. All at a price as low as we dare go. How can it get better than that?
